UPDATE TRAIL DU GRAND BALLON

UPDATE 25 APRIL –

It’s now official, the Route des Crêtes will be closed this weekend following significant snowfalls this week. Access to the Markstein is only possible via the D27 from Kruth and via the D430 from Guebwiller, so it is not possible to reach the Markstein via the Col de la Schlucht or the Grand Ballon.

The routes remain unchanged, and approximately 30-35% of the route at altitude (above 800 meters) is covered with a beautiful layer of snow between 10 and 40 cm. Temperatures above 10°C are expected this weekend, which should result in the melting of a large part of the snow.

If you wish to run a shorter distance, you can modify this online yourself BEFORE collecting your bib number by logging in on www.sqmtime.com and changing your distance.

If you abandon during the race, please send a text message to one of the phone numbers on your bib mentioning your withdrawal and your bib number.

See you on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for a memorable edition of the Trail du Blanc Ballon. We look forward to it!
