This superb trail in the Vosges mountains is now in its 7th year and has quickly become one of the biggest and best-known in the Vosges. The first edition attracted 500 trailers to the Markstein resort, situated at an altitude of 1183m. Year after year, more and more runners made their way to the Grand Ballon. In 2024, for the first time, the trail was sold out weeks before the event, with 2,500 runners!

After six editions, the courses will be completely changed in 2025 and we’re sure you’ll like them. As before, all departures and arrivals will be at the Hotel Wolf in Markstein.
On the programme for 2025 are 7 different distances ranging from 16 to 70 km.
At the finish of each distance, you can claim your UTMB Index. The 70 km has an UTMB Index of 100K, the 37 and 49 km have an UTMB Index of 50K and the other distances have an Index of 20K.
